I have started adding testimonials to our therapy pages, but there a also a couple of testimonials that I'm not sure where to add because I treat using a combination of Acupuncture, Reiki and Kinesiology with my clients ( except for the Cosmetic Acupuncture ones! ). So, I thought that for now I would add them on here!

Vivien, just 60, comes for general well-being, blood pressure, irritable bowel syndrome and painful joints in her hands and feet.
Treatment has helped her conditions, keeps her on her feet and off her medication! It also helps her to relax and sleep which she desperately needs with her busy lifestyle and large family!!

Jill, in her 20's, likes to have Treatments to help address her stress. She feels immediately better with the Bach Flower Remedies and completely relaxes with the Acupuncture and Reiki.

After her session she says, " I feel more energised and my head feels clearer. Therapists are always friendly and helpful, and calls have always been returned promptly, nothing is too much trouble, they go the extra mile for you which is very important to me. I would thoroughly recommend having treatments, lovely and relaxing. Well worth a visit! "

Hi Everyone!

A lot of changes going on here again!
We have a new Aromatherapist / Indian Head Massage / Hopi Ear Candle therapist started with us last week, Jessie Maguire. She is primarily going to concentrate on Stress Relief as most of our health problems are usually as a result of Stress!!! She also wants to just focus on treating women..... sorry guys!
I am sure that Jessie will be very successful and popular

Dear Everyone!

I am making a few changes to this website, so for now I have decided to remove the Diary of Whats going on page because we now have a Twitter Blog page which will keep you up to date with whats going on here! If it doesnt work out, or if you don't like it I will happily re-instate it!

Please do use this website/blogs to get the most of it, if you have any questions, queries or comments regarding the website, the centre, therapies, health issues etc... please put it on here, and I will answer you as soon as possible....

Thankyou everyone for all your support

Quote of The Day.....

If there were in the world today any large number of people who desired their own happiness more than they desired the unhappiness of others, we could have paradise in a few years.

May 2009

Hi Everyone!

We are in the process of starting up a pain management service, this will involve an initial free consultation to assess if you are suitable for us to offer you the chance of having your first treatment guaranteed to make you feel better - otherwise you can have your money back!!

Happy New Year! January 09!

Happy Healthy New Year to all Our Existing Clients & New Ones!

A lot has happened this month, it has been quite a changeover, busy time for us here again!

As you know, we celebrated our 10th anniversary in December, I'm pleased to say that we managed to get our birthday photo in the West Briton and The Packet newspapers!

We welcome a new receptionist, Helen, who started just before Christmas, she has been working very hard and has settled in well.

There has been a bit of a revamp at the centre, still ongoing, just changing around the furniture and bought some display units to put all our leaflets and information on. It will hopefully be easier then for anyone to find anything they want to quite quickly!

Selina is enjoying herself here at the practice and was very busy on the open day doing treatments, she will now be offering a range of therapies for you to try out here at a reduced rate, make the most of it!!

I have finally organised another photoshoot which will be undertaken by pr4photos, so that our website and practitioner board can be updated with photos of our latest practitioners ... watch this space!

Finally, the ' Have your Say ' page has now been fixed, there were technical problems with it for at least 6 weeks, so if any of you have left a blog which didnt get onto this page, I apologise, but if you leave one now, I will be able to upload it for you! Please leave any comments etc on any aspect of our website, premises, practice etc.... thankyou!

1st December til 8th December 08
Open Day, Natural Therapy Centre, Redruth

Hi Everyone!

I just wanted to let you all know that our Birthday / Open Day was very Successful, and to thank everyone involved for all their help and hard work.

You can take a look for yourselves on our Photos page!

Thankyou to everyone for coming to visit us on our day, I hope that you all enjoyed your treatments and that you felt great after them, all probably spoilt by the chocolate cake that we had in the afternoon!!! Well, health is all about balance, so I'm sure that one piece of cake was acceptable!!!

Many of you filled in the Natural Health Quiz, it has now been 'marked', 62% of you answered all the questions correctly. We will be doing the 'draw ' within the next couple of days, so will announce the winners soon!

Diary From Monday 27th October - 7th November 08

Yet again, it has been a very busy couple of weeks for us here!

Lucia has given birth to a baby boy, Kafek - Congratulations to you both!

Claudia has now started here at the practice, so if anyone needs to make use of her skills and would like to find out how she can help you, please ring and we will book you in for a free initial consultation.

The hunt is over for a new receptionist! We welcome Dawn who will now be taking on the challenge of looking after all of us here!

Selina, is settling in well, unfortunately the first day must have taken its toll because she came down with the 'coldy / fluey' bug that I know a lot of people have had recently, luckily she's feeling better now, and has returned with renewed vigour!

We are holding a 10yr Birthday Party on the 6th December, I find it hard to believe that we have been open for 10 years - time definately flies!

Its a chance for you to meet the therapists and experience treatments ... We are in the organising phase of this, see the open day page for updates of the details, if you wish to be added to our email list, please let us know and we can send out the final details to you!

Talking of time, I can't believe that another year has gone by already, the yellow pages advertising has to be done yearly, so it's a busy decision time again on how much to put in, where to put it, wording etc....

Winter is coming, I always wonder how the heating system knows that its a bad time to give up working!! More things to sort out!

Til December 1st 08

Well it has been frantic here once again !

The organization of the Open Day has taken far longer than I anticipated...... attempting to get everyones email addresses onto database, then transferring to email program etc.. Its finally done, and quite a few of you should have received this now if you are on our mailing list?!, if not, now is the time to do so!

Diary From Monday 13th - 24th October 2008

Well, it has been a very busy couple of weeks for us here!

I advertised for a receptionist, as time is so short and its just Impossible to do everything! Unfortunately this takes up more time, reading applications, interviewing etc... a bit like the chicken and the egg syndrome!

On Friday we will have a qualified complementary therapy student starting to work with us from Truro college. This will enable her to gain an insight into whats involved in a running a natural therapy centre! Hopefully its reassuring for everyone to know that all therapists have to go through a thorough training, academically and 'hands on' before treating people.

Next week we will lose Lucia as our Psychotherapist, she is heavily pregnant with her first baby! We wish you lots of joy and happiness with your new baby Lucia and David!

In Lucia's place we welcome Claudia Lindemann, counselling page of our website to be updated soon.....

Watch this space! bye for now!

PLEASE REMEMBER ... you are welcome to leave comments / feedback on any aspect of our website, treatments, therapy centre, practitioners etc on the Have your Say page!

Diary from Monday - Friday 10th October 2008

Hi Everyone - this week so far!

Saul Neill, our Acupuncturist, received a lovely thankyou card through the post for the treatments he has done, making her life easier from having her acupuncture sessions! I know that it sounds like a little thing, but it doesnt happen everyday!

Leah and myself (Ruth), also received a thankyou card for our donation to a raffle in aid of the Shelter Box Charity.

Sadly, but happily for her, one of our clients has loved our treatments so much that she has decided to start Acupuncture training! She is now on her way to London to live, so that she can do her 4 year course! GOOD LUCK!........

please note that it is not a requirement for you to become a therapist just because you have had treatments here!

I'd just like to say a massive thank you to Leah for all your hard work sorting out my injured knees - I'm already planning a snowboard trip for Christmas!
Also to Chris for helping me with my back - I have felt like a different person since receiving treatment from you. The world looks different now that I am finally walking properly!

Many thanks - I will definately be recommending Journey to Successful Health to my family and friends.

I'd just like to say "thank you" to everyone at Journey to Successful Health. I have been really impressed with the centre and the quality of the service you provide.
Everyone at JSH has been extremely welcoming and friendly and I have received some really helpful advice on how to approach a number of health problems suffered by myself and my family.
I will definately be using your services again in the near future.

Best wishes and Merry Christmas

Hi Everyone!!

Just like to say a big 'thank you' to Ruth and the team.

My (dangerously) high blood pressure is now under control and back to normal.

Why am I still having treatment? Well, I feel so good after a session..... Its not just treatment, but more a way of life.

It has put life into perspective, so now I am more relaxed and able to cope with my fairly stressful life.

Thank you all. Keep up the good work.

Robert Hampton

Hi, My name is Rob Hampton, Ruth has been treating me for rotational cuff disease to my left shoulder for the past few months, and i can say the acupuncture is helping to heal the joint. I run two very demanding businesses which at times are very stressful, i found very early on in my treatment that the acupuncture i was receiving for my shoulder really helped with my stress. I now also have reiki which combined with the acupuncture makes me feel brilliant, stress free, calm, an allround better inner feeling, i look forward to my weekly visits to the clinic, and i can say, without a doubt, when my shoulder is completly healed i will continue to attend the clinic regularly, just for my de-stress. i can not recommend Ruth and her clinic more highly.
